Veronica Egas is an Achievement First parent in Connecticut. Her daughter, Verolu, attends Elm City College Preparatory Charter School.
Veronica regularly speaks with legislators to advocate for public charter schools. She mobilized in New Haven City Hall to support the construction of Amistad Academy High School. She delivered testimony to the State Board of Education to ensure her daughter's school remain open.
Due to Veronica and parents like her, the city and state approved the opening of the school, and now Amistad Academy High is one of the best schools in Connecticut.
