The facts, history, proven success, and the journey ahead
On March 1st, the Connecticut State Renewal Committee voted on the extension Achievement First Elm City, Amistad, and Bridgeport school charter contracts. Parents and students from each school had the opportunity to speak to the committee one last time about the positive impact their school has had on their children’s lives. The stories presented at the hearing were powerful, and in the end each Achievement First school was allotted 3 additional years to their charter contract.
It is a great relief that students can continue receiving an excellent education to be on their path to college.
