Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff discusses fair funding with parents at Achievement First Bridgeport Academy

On Tuesday October 25th, Achievement First Bridgeport Academy and 55 families hosted Senator Bob Duff and Representative Chris Rosario to discuss the current CCJEF ruling and steps forward to ensure fair funding for charter schools.

Families from numerous neighboring towns came down to attend this unique town hall-style meeting. Parents had an opportunity to address the elected officials and share their experiences with public education in Connecticut.

Before the night was up, both elected leaders signed a pledge to support fair funding for charter schools in the revised budget plan for Connecticut.
