Sharita Moore-Willis writes to the The Bronx Chronicle to hold Mayor de Blasio accountable for his dismissal of “bad schools” in NYC. She challenges the Mayor’s quick disregard of the 45% of public school students in the Bronx who are failing their state exams – which means these are students who are struggling to read, write, and do math.
Moore was quoted as saying, “It seems to be Mayor de Blasio’s policy to close his eyes to the real problems facing New York City. He is ignoring a crisis, and in the process turning his back on those who need help the most.”
